Palo Santo Body Butter
My all natural hand-blended Palo Santo body butter is made-to-order just for you. With a consistency much like softened dairy butter, it glides on smoothly and a little dab will do. Even though it is rich and 'buttery' it absorbs somewhat quickly, leaving skin feeling quite soft and smooth. The uplifting scent is solely from infusing skin nourishing oils with all natural Palo Santo Wood, gentle heat and time.
Palo Santo or "Holy Wood" is a natural aromatic wood that is generally considered to have a pleasant woodsy aroma that can be hard to describe. To me personally it smells a little bit like Cedar but sweeter, with perhaps a hint of floral. It truly is a unique scent that myself and so many others find to be so pleasurable, uplifting and calming. It is best known for its use in smudging and incense but is worked with and enjoyed in other ways as well.
Over the last several years Palo Santo has grown increasingly popular and with it the increasingly high demand for it which has unfortunately lead to unethical harvesting of the trees for their wood. I am not ready to stop using Palo Santo just yet so I have worked hard to find a source I feel good about. I very rarely burn the wood now, preferring to make infused oil with it instead which goes much further.
● Organic *Deodorized Cocoa Butter
● Organic Coconut Oil
● Organic Apricot Kernel Oil
● Organic Meadowfoam Seed Oil
● Palo Santo Wood
*The Cocoa Butter was deodorized by steam and filtering screens. No chemicals were used during the refining process. I love the incredible benefits of Cocoa Butter (it's my favorite Butter) but don't always want it's natural chocolate scent, depending on what I am creating with it. In this case it would compete with the Palo Santo.

Weather can effect the consistency of this butter. If weather has been hot it is possible for it to melt and become runny. So far this has been reported to me 4 times since 2016. If this happens to you, please do not freak out ;-). You can just put it in your fridge for 20 minutes or so until it solidifies once again.
On the other hand, if the weather has been quite cold it can become more solidified. You might even see tiny solid pieces of the Coconut oil which will melt upon contact with your skin. Regardless of either weather scenario it does not spoil the body butter.
